Summary:Current trend in drug discovery and modern pharmaceutical analysis have revolutionized in order to solve problems and meet the raising demand for humankind including remedies for disease. Since the utilization of antibiotics have been banned for aquaculture practices, new methods and technologies need to be implement to face the disease outbreaks. Therefore, the objectives of this study were to determine the biomedical properties in epidermal mucus and skin of the cleaner fish, Labroides dimidiatus, that have important roles in the defense mechanism since both are the first line defense of innate immune system.
