| 要約: | ICT use in education has become very popular in recent years. In Malaysia, the
government have put much effort in making sure ICT have its place in the
classroom. Programs such Smart-Schools, EduwebTV, FrogVLE are among the
programs that were introduced to help ICT gain its footing in the classroom
environment. Many researched have been done on teachers ICT skills and its impact
teaching and learning in the classroom. Most of the research was based on subject
taught and also on demographic. Currently, there is no research to explore the
same topic on rural schools setting, especially at schools in Tawau. The current
study seek to investigate Merotai zone teachers ICT skills and how this give impact
to teaching and learning process in the classroom. To achieve this, the framework of
this study is developed based on the relationship between the Dependent Variables,
Independent variable. The independent variable for this study is the attributes of
Teacher's ICT Skill and Knowledge. The dependent variable is the impact on teaching
and learning process in the classroom. Questionnaires were developed from this
conceptual framework and were distributed to six schools in Merotai zone. The data
from 200 questionnaires distributed are used to show the findings for this study. The
study revealed that the attributes for Teacher's ICT Skills and Knowledge only have
partial significance towards the Impact of the ICT use on teaching and learning in
the classroom.
