Description
Summary:This research was done to identify the level of computer usage and attitude of Secondary School Islamic Education Teachers in the District of Sandakan, Sabah. The population of Islamic Education Teacher which was made up of 81 teachers from the secondary school was used as sample. The instrument used were questionnaires. The questionnaires was divided into section A and section B which contained 38 items. The data collected was analysed using the Statistical Package For Social Sciences (SPSS) version 13.0. The levels of computer usage and attitude were analysed using mean and percentage whereas the relationship between the level of computer usage and the level of attitude were analysed using The Pearson Correlation. Computer usage in this research context refered to the use of computer for management, teaching and learning and internet purposes. The result indicated that the level of computer usage for the purposes of management as well as teaching and learning were high but moderate for the purpose of internet. The result also showed that the level of attitude the aspects of anxiety and enjoyment was positive but moderate in the aspect of confidence. There were no differences the usage of computer for management, teaching and learning as well as internet between the rural and urban teachers. The Pearson Correlation analysis showed that there was no correlation between the attitude and the level of computer usage among Islamic Education Teachers in the District of Sandakan.
