The purpose of this project is to develop Information Strategic Planning (ISP) by proposing application portfolio in small business. This is done by taking one of the small medium enterprise (SME) as a case study where there is no information strategic planning was available. The development of the application portfolio will focus on the major sectors, which are the production functions of the selected enterprise. The intention is to help the SME organization to align their business strategy with information technology to increase their productivity. Application portfolio was developed using Information Engineering (IE) methodology, which is a well-known technique of the main fact finding and data gathering method. The methodology will enable potential business area with particular information systems development within production functions of an organization be identified through accurate modelling of the processes and the data. The critical examination of the literature review was conducted in order to identify the importance of ISP in SME environment in current situation. The results of this project suggest the required computer application for potential business areas that is important to be implemented. This application will support the current business to be more productive and competitive in the business environments.
