| Summary: | Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin served as the eighth Prime Minister of Malaysia from 2020 to 2021. During his relatively short administration he successfully led the country out of the threat of the Covid19 pandemic that was affecting the entire world at that time. Despite his success, not much scientific research has been conducted on his leadership. on him. This thesis aims to examine the effectiveness of Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin’s leadership as the eighth Prime Minister of Malaysia in dealing with various national issues such as health, economic and political issues during the last Covid19 pandemic season. Using qualitative research method, this study found that Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin's leadership was effective, especially in the management of national affairs. He tackled health issues with great dedication and wisdom by taking various actions that helped curb the spread of Covid-19. Further, various economic stimulus packages were also introduced to overcome economic issues. With regard to political matters, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin also took on a very heavy responsibility to lead the government as Prime Minister. |
