Description
Summary:This study examines the influence of emotional intelligence, public service motivation and communication on employee engagement among PERKESO Malaysia workforce. The relationship between employee engagement and these three characteristics is examined, as it is a crucial determinant in organisational performance. Emotional intelligence refers to the capacity to effectively regulate one's own emotions as well as the emotions of others, hence promoting a nurturing and encouraging work atmosphere. Public service motivation refers to the dedication of individuals to public principles and obligations, which results in the alignment of their own values with the goals of the organisation. Efficient communication, characterised by clarity and openness, guarantees that employees are adequately informed and appreciated. The data were gathered via surveys distributed to PERKESO employees and subsequently analysed using statistical techniques to ascertain the correlations among these variables. The results emphasise the important contributions of emotional intelligence, public service motivation and communication in increasing employee engagement. These findings provide vital knowledge for statutory body organisations particularly seeking to enhance workforce motivation and performance. The research will also provide insights into the practical and theoretical implications and limitations encountered throughout its execution. This study also will propose recommendations for future researchers interested in investigating the correlation between emotional intelligence, public service motivation, communication and work engagement
