| description | This research explores the application of Islamic leadership styles in Zakat management at the Lembaga Zakat Negeri Kedah (LZNK), Malaysia. The study analyzes the use of Islamic leadership concepts, including Tauhid (oneness of God), Amanah (trust), transparency, communication, and Shura (consultation), inside LZNK and their influence on the Efficiency of Zakat administration. Data was gathered via qualitative research methodology through comprehensive interviews with key informants and reviews of documents. The results indicate that Islamic leadership principles markedly improve the Efficiency, transparency, and accountability of Zakat management. The notion of Tauhid cultivates a spiritually driven workplace, but Amanah guarantees responsibility via stringent auditing mechanisms. Transparency is facilitated by digital platforms like the Zakat on Touch (ZoT) application, enabling real-time monitoring of Zakat funds. Effective communication and community participation enhance public trust, while the notion of Shura guarantees participatory decision-making by Islamic norms. The research indicates that Islamic leadership is essential for enhancing the Efficiency of Zakat management, cultivating public trust, and guaranteeing the fair allocation of Zakat resources. The findings provide significant insights for Zakat institutions in Malaysia and elsewhere, emphasizing the necessity of merging Islamic leadership principles with contemporary management approaches to attain sustainable and effective Zakat governance |
