| Summary: | This study examines work environment, leadership, rewards and accountability toward job satisfaction among bank employees in Malaysia, with a focus on how these factors contribute to overall bank performance. From the perspective of the banking sector, it is an important aspect of Malaysia's economy, however it has to deal with ongoing problems in keeping employees happy and making sure the business as a whole is effective in the face of severe competition and consumer expectations. Understanding how organizational aspects affect job satisfaction can provide valuable information to assist in increasing employee motivation and, therefore, the success of organizations. Research was carried out through a quantitative descriptive design involving 160 bank employees in Malaysia using a structured questionnaire. The findings shows that the strongest positive effect was from leadership on job satisfaction, while rewards also had a marked influence. Although the work environment and accountability had a positive effect, the impact was not significantly affecting the full sample model. Overall, the findings emphasize the importance of supportive leadership and fair reward systems in fostering bank employees job satisfaction and subsequently, organizational performance. This study contributes to the existing body of knowledge by presenting the underlying factors of job satisfaction in the context of Malaysian banking industry and the implications to the managements, policy makers and economy in cultivating an engaged, motivated and high performing workforce. |
