description This study was conducted to explore the relationship of video games among lower secondary school students with learning performance of students. The respondents were from the lower secondary school students in three schools around the state of Perlis. A total of 100 students participated in this study. Respondent selection method used is the snowball method. Questionnaire was used to make a pilot study to test the reliability / validity analysis. The degree of reliability (Cronbach alpha) for the instruments used in this study is 0824. This study was analyzed by using Statistical Software Packages for the Social Science (SPSS) for Windows (Version 16.0) in the form of descriptive statistics of percentages, frequency, standard deviation and mean, and statistical inference of t-tests and analysis of variance (ANOVA). The results showed that the tendency to play video games have the opportunity to affect students' academic performance is reflected through nol4 hypothesis. Correlation coefficient, r for relations tendency to play video games and academic performance of students is -0090. It was found that the relationship is very weak and inverted. There is an evidence of a tendency to play is likely to affect the academic performance of students to make further research. The findings of this study is also expected to help, planners and implementers of the curriculum at the ministry level, state, regional, and educational organizations to carry out the actions and programs that would be more appropriate to meet the educational needs that are increasingly challenging now.
