| 要約: | Spiritual intelligence is important as life guidance for the youth in order to obey Allah’s rules and to become their personal defences from evil things. The youth who is the future leaders, facing many challenges in globalization era which require mental and spiritual strength. Therefore, there are many activities and spiritual
programs have been conducted to produce an integrated youth. However, the outcome is still not good enough. Hence, the objectives of this study are; to evaluate the level of youth’s spiritual intelligence; to identify the different level of the spiritual intelligence based on demographic criteria; to determine the relationship between determinant factors (demographic factors, spiritual practices, spiritual activity, involvement and environmental influences) with spiritual intelligence; to determine the determinant factors influence towards spiritual intelligence; to determine the influence of management activity (moderating factor) on the relationship between determinant factors and spiritual intelligence. This comprehensive study participated by 641 youths who involved in the Program Latihan Khidmat Negara (PLKN) in the North Zone. The data collected from questionnaire analysed using descriptive statistic, Pearson’s correlation, multiple, and hierarchical regression. Findings show that the youth’s spiritual intelligence
level is 4.23 from a scale of 5. It also found that there are differences in the level of spiritual intelligence based on selected demographic factors. Spiritual practices, involvement and environmental factors influence youth’s spiritual intelligence
significantly. Spiritual management activity also found to be moderating factor for the involvement, rural locality, and spiritual activity factors with spiritual intelligence. Therefore, we should provide a special program (such as PLKN) which is focused on enhancing the youth’s spiritual intelligence at national level.
Attractive spiritual programs with efficient management and appropriate forms of youth should be multiplied and given more attention so that the youth’s spiritual intelligence can be consistently enhanced to realizing nation-building aspirations. |
