| Summary: | This thesis aims to study upon the challenges in promoting the arts of Boria in Penang. In this study, qualitative approach is used by the researcher in finding information by interviewing eight informant which are activist in Boria, teachers and group members that practice it. The data collected is based on in-depth interview were analyzed using content analysis method where the researcher can filter any irrelevant conversation that are not related to the research objectives. The study area for this research mainly situated in Penang which are Southeast, Northeast and Northern part of Seberang Perai. This study found that the Boria activists have some difficulties in terms of maintaining the authenticity of Boria art. |
