Fifty-one pterygium and forty-one superior bulbar conjunctiva tissues from patients with pterygium, along with fourteen conjunctiva samples from pterygium-free subjects are subjected to immunohistochemical analysis to detennined the expression of IL-4, IL-4 receptor and IL-4 receptor associated gp200-MR6 molecule.
