description The purpose of this study is to look at the effectiveness of the use of augmented reality in storybooks for primary school students from year one to year six. A total of four students were involved in this study using the interview method. The results of this study showed that students are interested in using story books that have augmented reality elements for reading compared to reading story books that are commonly used in school. In addition to that, student's perception of English story books having augmented reality elements is said to be good and very useful to understand the storyline while reading because the characters used in the book will be displayed in 3D through augmented reality application.
