Aziz Mimi Haryani Hassim, supervisor Chemical engineering Also available in printed version As we know, the office internal physical environment has been part of the cause of the decline in the productivity of an organization because it involves the level of employee satisfaction. Through this study we only focus on internal physical office environment factors toward employee satisfaction consist of temperature, natural lighting, electrical lighting, indoor air quality, noise, office space, work space, ergonomics and aesthetics. Office of Asset and Development is use as a case study to identify these factors. By using questionnaires, a total of 50 respondents tested consisted of PHB workers. Analysis carried out by frequency, mean and Mann-Whitney U test. Analysis showed that the majority of the respondents agreed that all interior physical environment office factors specified are very important and affect their work performance. Respondents were also satisfied with the internal physical environment in their offices, especially in terms of air quality and noise factors. Analysis Mann-Whitney U test was used to test whether there is a difference of opinion between gender and employees grade of services. Results showed that male respondents were more likely to be satisfied with the sun lighting elements, air quality, office space, work space and ergonomic, while women are more satisfied with elements of ambient temperature, lighting, sound and aesthetic. In terms of employees grade of services shows professional groups/management are more satisfied with the internal physical environment of their office than support staff group atiff UTM 95 p.
