There are three types of key size for AES which are 128 bits, 192 bits and 256 bits and the block size for AES is 128 bits. However, for the idea of Rijndael, the algorithm supports key and block sizes of 128, 160, 192, 224, and 256 bits although it is the same as the algorithm with AES. Larger block size cipher may increase the speed of encryption and decryption and security strength compare with the smaller block size cipher. The mode of operation, ECB mask ECB (EME), ECB and CBC are applied on the AES and Rijndael-256 to make the AES has the capability to encrypt and decrypt mass storage data. C++ programming language is used to develop the algorithm of AES , Rijndael-256 and modes of operation snhas UTM 164 p.
