The strength of GIS technology lies on the spatial analysis and spatial modeling. An effective development control may be implemented especially for the local government. By using Geographical Information System (GIS), a suitable method can be developed to control the development in limestone areas. As GIS have functionalities to identify the safe and risk zones areas for development. Based on the guideline provided by local government, GIS can be integrated with to control development in the limestone area. How is the integration to be made in order to obtain an effective approach? The purpose of this study as an initial step to implement a development control in limestone areas by GIS to solve many developments problems. The results of this study may be a reference to local authorities in controlling many physical and economic developments in the respective jurisdiction zulaihi UTM 173 p.
