To achieve these objectives, students' understanding of the real situation and after exposure to the Model STAD Cooperative learning approaches is identified. This descriptive study involved 30 students at a school in Kota Tinggi. Data collection was done through tests and questionnaires. Score test and questionnaire data were analyzed using mean, percentage and standard deviation. The study found that, in reality the majority of students are not able to giving current nomenclature and draw molecules structure an isomers suggested by IUPAC. As a result students’ disclosure STAD cooperative learning approach has been successful in increasing student understanding. In addition, it was also found that student to have positive perceptions of STAD Cooperative learning model atiff UTM 112 p.
