The study covers two different type of duct which is straight triangular duct and 90º curved triangular duct. The main objective of this study is to determine the effect of curvature in the process of heat transfer in non circular tube. Besides, this study also determines the Nusselt number correlation for the bended duct and to establish the effect of Reynolds number on the Nusselt number. All data obtained at various air velocities and Reynolds numbers for temperatures were tabulated. The obtaining data are been shown in graphs that had been plotted. Analysis was made and we found that the convective heat transfer coefficient for the bended duct is higher as compared to the straight duct. It is also found that the Nusselt number is increasing directly proportional to the Reynolds number. The value of the correlation is Nu = 0.107Re1.1895 for the 90º curved triangular duct and Nu = 2.068Re0.7498 for the straight triangular duct. Finally, recommendations to improve the accuracy of the results for further study also are included in this thesis fahmimoksen UTM 66 p.
