Despite efforts from various parties concerned the level of cleanliness still not at a satisfactory level. It has been that the toilet cleanliness issue can be a threat to the tourism industry. However, the standard of toilets along Malaysia’s highways especially the North-South Highway is well-known for their high level of cleanliness and maintenance. This study, therefore intends to examine the management system of toilets at Rest and Service Area (RSA) along the North-South Highway. In addition, the level of satisfaction on this facility is also investigated. The first part of primary data collection involves an interview with the cleaning management staffs whilst the data on the level of satisfaction was gathered using a questionnaire. Then, the data were analyzed using Frequency Analysis, Descriptive Analysis and Multidimensional Scaling Analysis. The results from the interviews suggest that the cleaning management should employ use contractor services to conduct the cleaning of toilets at Gurun Rest and Service Area. In addition, an effective toilet cleaning management plan through cleaning monitoring and evaluation tasks should be implemented. The result from Descriptive Analysis and Multidimensional Scaling Analysis shows that the users of the service are generally satisfied with this public toilet cleaning management. However, there are a few elements of the toilet facilities that did not achieve the maximum user satisfaction. Hence, the cleaning management needs to improve the public toilet cleaning management for these elements. It is advised from this study that the current cleaning management system employed at RSA should be implemented in managing other public toilets in the country fahmimoksen UTM 115 p.
