The Georeference process calibrates the geographic location of cells in raster objects and elements in vector objects to a coordinate system and map projection. The main aim for this study is to develop an accurate and a practically based user-friendly methodology for georeferencing strata plan for the development of strata database. Strata Outsource Module (SOM) which is developed by using MapInfo version 9.0 is the software that is used to fulfill this objective. Currently, in Malaysia it appears that the strata plans prepared by surveyors for Strata Title subdivisions are becoming a tool for the long term management of strata complexes. This means that the simplified nature of strata plans may not be the best format. Society has also become more complex with a need to map the cadastre in more detail and correctness. This paper shows an accurate way by proposing two types of method which are the Keyboard Entry and the COGO - Coordinate Geometry method in MapInfo to perform an accurate georeferencing strata plan to the strata database. In the end of this study, the COGO method was successfully used to obtain a better and an accurate result in the way of transferring information into the cadastre database (PDUK) atiff UTM 125 p.
