In any slender structures, the most thing that be concerned, is the building shall not exceed the displacement limit when it comes to resist lateral loading. Improving the lateral resisting system becomes major concern when buildings increase in height. A study was conducted to make improvement in lateral stiffness for tall building structures in order to find most optimum location for stiffness element. Analyses were carried out for six cases of wind loading to compare value of displacement for five selected model consists of Outrigger and Belt Wall System located at systematically incremented height of the structure. The behaviour of the structural systems was studied through their deflection characteristic upon loading. The results showed that with the addition of structural system as bracing to an origin of model at specific floor, observed a significant decrease in displacement laterally. It also indicates that the Outrigger and Belt Wall Structural System gives the solutions in terms of improvements to the resistance of the lateral displacements to comply with Serviceability Limit State for tall buildings atiff UTM 142 p.
