The method requires a framework to run and thus many component models have been developed. These technologies are suitable to handle large and complicated enterprise applications yet are not suitable for small embedded software, specifically real-time systems since they do not address the time and resource constraint of embedded real-time (ERT) systems. Supports for COP can be supplied by selecting a component composition tool that complies with its principles. This research has been conducted to evaluate OpenWire as a component composition tool and its suitability to support COP. Components based on a case study of IMR 71848 mobile robot system have been designed and tested in a working environment using OpenWire. Comparative evaluation of OpenWire based on four important criteria and comparison with the proposed COP Tool gave results that suggest the incorporation of OpenWire simulation feature to enhance the use of COP Tool as the new proposed workflow. snhas UTM 138 p.
