The study also seeks todetermine the level of teachers’ commitment as well as the relationship betweenauthentic leadership and commitment. The quantitative survey method usingstandardized-item questionnaires was employed in this study. The respondentsconsisted of 156 teachers chosen at random from five secondary schools under theleadership of Pengetua Cemerlang. The Amalan Kepimpinan Autentik Pengetuasurvey was used to measure the dimensions of authentic leadership while theAffective, Continuance, and Normative Commitment Scale by LaMastro (2000) wasused to measure teachers’ affective commitment in school. Six hypotheses weregenerated and tested using t-test, one way ANOVA and Spearman’s rho correlationstatistical methods. The findings of the study depicted that all principals practiced allfour dimensions of authentic leadership at a commendable level where the selfawarenessdimension were the ones that were practised the most. It was also foundthat the level of commitment displayed by teachers in Pengetua Cemerlang schoolswas at high level. Next, the level of relationship between authentic leadership andcommitment among teachers was found moderate and significantly positive. atiff UTM 117 p.
