Many businesses facing some form of a return such as a refurbishment or remanufacturing due to product quality issues, excessive inventory, delivery issues, and damaged products especially with the rapid growth in the e-commerce industry over the years. As a result, RL practices have become one of the important parts of closed-loop supply chain management to achieve sustainable development. The purpose of this study is to investigate the level of RL adoption among Malaysian e-commerce and aims to examine the relationship between management barriers and financial barriers with the level of RL adoption among Malaysian e-commerce. The quantitative approach using descriptive and causal analysis was used in this research. Data collected through online survey questionnaires consist of the respondents from fashion and electronic online sellers in the Shopee or Lazada e-commerce platform. A total of 35 responses were received and analyzed using the Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS). The findings show the level of RL adoption among Malaysian e-commerce was at a moderate level. Results show that both management barriers and financial barriers have a negative relationship with the level of RL adoption. The finding of this study is useful, beneficial to society, and provide an understanding of RL to both practitioners and academics who wish to understand the level of RL adoption and the relationship for both management barriers and financial barriers to the level of RL adoption for the population.
