Sediment transport is one of the processes that can apply in fluid fields which require experimental result so that engineer can improve the methodology in handling dam breaching due to overtopping. The aim of this study is to get the morphology pattern of sediment transport at downstream due to dam breaching and compare the peak discharge of dam failure for different inflow rates and compare it with different grain size. This study focuses on embankment of mixing sand; medium grain(50%) and coarse grain (50%) with a slope 1V:3H. This slope of the embankment is trusted and reliable base on literature study published on previous article and journal. The embankment is tested on different inflows rate which are 0.8 L/s and 1.2 L/s. The hydrograph and morphology of the sediment are plotted after the experiment is done. The average peak discharge between two inflows rate is almost the same. However, the peak discharges in the same inflows rate are affected by the material of the embankment. The peak discharge of medium grain size of the embankment is highest which is 3.36 L/s , in comparison with a mixing and coarser embankment.
