Johari Kamaruddin, supervisor Chemical engineering Not available Bio-hydrogen becomes a promising alternative energy carrier to fossil fuels since it is clean, renewable, contains high energy content and does not contribute to greenhouse effect. Therefore, using cheap or renewable resources, such as lignocellulosic materials, as the feedstock for bio-hydrogen production, in particular, dark fermentative bio-hydrogen production has a great potential to give major contribution to future energy supply. The environmental impacts of biofuel production from pineapple waste was determine using the Life cycle Assessment (LCA). Based on previous study between pineapple waste and corn stover, it is expected that the comparison of Life cycle assessment showed the corn stover has least environmental impact compare with pineapple waste. fahmimoksen UTM 45 p.
