It is about a consultancy project to provide Six Sigma training in preparing the participants to attend American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB) examination. It is based on the past record of passing rate to conduct a research for an improvement in a training framework for the coming intake. The approach to conduct this case study is Six Sigma Define- Measure-Analyze-Improve-Control (DMAIC) methodology. It is adopted for its systematic approach and its applicability of problem solving tools for the entire project. The study is completed with the use of Minitab software to assist the computation of statistical testing that is required in the formulation of the statistical problems to attain the practical solutions. The critical metrics that were identified as the parameters for evaluation in this case study are explored with the simulations conducted for ASQ CSSBB examination. The simulation results are test scores obtained from tests by subject and trial examinations conducted in the training. They are evaluated with the mathematical concept of a regression equation to estimate a better passing rate for ASQ CSSBB examinations. The research is concluded with an improved framework developed for future undertaking of any similar training project. It is also found that in addition to achieve the desired passing rate of 50% to 60%, A cost avoidance of RM96000.00 through self-developed training material and a tangible saving of RM4200.00 by the reduction of trial examination are obtained from this research snhas UTM 85 p.
