Therefore, activities maintaining on channels depth is a compulsory scope of work at any port to ensure a safe navigation of vessels. From time to time, such as dynamic movement of the sea caused by natural phenomenon causing it brings the suspended and bed load sediments, effecting on channel depth. Detailed study of the sediment transport is important to determine the influencing factors on trend and rate of siltation for interpreting the channel depth. Series of data set collecting at different period is needed through bathymetry survey using SIMRAD EM3000 multibeam echo sounder (MBES) to mapping the seabed topography also to calculate the volume of sediment in order to understand the rate of siltation. The study focus on data analysis and processing using an identified hydrographic software, QINSy which are to keep digital form as Ascii format and plotted the seabed topography in 2D mode. Then, from the processing result, volume of sediment can be calculated to elaborate the trend of changes, the siltation rate and the factors that contribute to the changes. The result can also be used for the port authority to decide whether the dredging activity is necessary or vice versa fahmimoksen UTM 102 p.
