Enhanced oil recovery is one of the key components in the future market of oil and gas, as the market itself already shown its volatility for several times in the history. Approaching the year of 2016, the oil prices is dropped dramatically up to around USD $30 per barrel which is significantly lower than in 2014 which is around USD $100 per barrel. In order to implement EOR techniques to the specific oil fields, thorough and detailed screening needs to be completed in order to filter out any unnecessary evaluation; thus enable the oil companies to decide the best method to be applied. The injected materials used for EOR methods need to be analysed thoroughly in order to develop the best approach for the project; which include the slim tube test simulation to determine the minimum miscibility pressure which will determine the best materials to be injected to yield the highest oil recovery. Last but not least, the actual full field simulation will be performed to observe the actual impact of the selected EOR method application towards the cumulative oil recovery. In this case study project, immiscible water alternating gas (IWAG) had been identified to be the best EOR method to be applied at Emerald field based on the evaluation completed previously. Specifically, carbon dioxide (CO2) had been selected as the gas component for IWAG method as it yielded the highest oil recovery at 51.86% oil recovery and able to maintain its immiscible state at reservoir condition which is around 2500 psi; as it needed at least 4500 psi of injection pressure to reach its minimum miscibility pressure (MMP) fahmimoksen UTM 109 p.
