| spelling | utm-123456789-503132025-08-20T19:58:11Z Numerical simulation and analytical verification of gas flow particularly grain storage Mohamad Danial Nazri Zaiton Mat Isa, supervisor Science Also available in printed version This thesis investigates the hydrodynamic behavior of phosphine gas in a stored wheat using available software Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD) software, ANSYS (Fluent) .A method is described by which a CFD code known as FLUENT can be adapted to model the flow that take place inside porous structures. To test the feasibility of the results from numerical CFD code, simulations are verified with a 2Daxisymmetric analytical solution. It is shown that the CFD simulations provide a very good agreement with the analytic solution. Based on this, and given that analytic solution for a more complex problem are difficult to find, a numerical simulations are then used for three different types of geometry zulaihi UTM 120 p.
