Various methods and procedures have been developed over the years to evaluate the flatness defects. The resulting consequences of the current methods are significant labour required, time consuming and the floor profile is inadequate to be presented completely. Terrestrial laser scanner offers great opportunities in providing fast and accurate measurement data which would be a revealing advantage over the conventional methods. The objective of this study is to measure the floor flatness of tennis court from point clouds data. It also evaluates the capability and performance of terrestrial laser scanning method in measuring floor flatness. This research involves the acquisition of raw point cloud data by using Topcon GLS-2000 terrestrial laser scanner and the data is processed with ScanMaster and 3DReshaper software. Sequentially, flatness of floor has been analysed and evaluated based on resulted point clouds produced by using terrestrial laser scanning method. Comparison between the heights produced by point cloud and conventional levelling are also made to evaluate the accuracy of terrestrial laser scanning data in flatness measurement. Based on the result acquired, it is shown that TLS data are accurate for flatness evaluation application with ±1.3 millimetre level. The flatness profile produced is also able to provide adequate information which is required for inspection in construction work fahmimoksen UTM 57 p.
