It is a manufacturing process of forming sheet metal stock or blanks into geometrical or in this case square shape that are more than half their diameters in depth. Deep drawing process especially square deep drawing is regarded as one of the most important and difficult metal forming process because it involves many parameter and variables to form a successive deep drawing part. Through this process, many parts are manufactured across industries such as automotive parts, kitchen sinks and cups. By running the square deep drawing process of a pre-crack blanks, behaviour of pre-crack during square deep drawing can be studied and analyzed. Before running a deep drawing process, there are many aspects that should be taken into consideration. This is due to the complexion of the process itself as it involves many variables that should be control in order to get the right drawn parts. The variables are material used, blank holder force, clearance between punch and die , lubricants ,punch and die radius ,blank thickness ,limiting drawing ratio and many more. The sheet metal is drilled with various size of hole to represent the pre-crack blanks and then, it was fabricated using the Erichsen Deep Drawing machine. For the simulation, it was ran using the DEFORM 3D Software zulaihi UTM 60 p.
