Undeniably, a successful education requires the cooperation of both receivers and deliverers as well as external related parties (Watty et al., 2014). Therefore, the main purpose of this paper is to study the perception of accounting graduates on accounting education and professional career development. A number of 127 questionnaires were distributed to the respondents by hands and via online medium which is Google Doc application and a total of 67 questionnaires were returned to be analysed by using SPSS. The respondents were chosen to be among Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) accounting graduates because they have undergone all semesters in Bachelor of Accountancy program and are currently pursuing their career within related field. The elements from accounting education examined include skills acquired, courses attended, and learning approaches adopted. The data generated are presented in the form of mean of the degree of agreement of the respondents on elements under independent variables. The findings are presented by using Pearson correlation in order to find the significance and strength of relationship between the independent variables and dependent variable. The results show a significant correlation between the elements of accounting education and the professional career development.
