Conventional methods performed in quarry such as ramp stockpile involve the use of measuring equipment such as total station and global positioning system (GPS). To minimize the risk of safety and equipment at the quarry site, minimize production costs, safe, accurate and efficient work steps are needed. These issues can be solved by using the technology of non-contact measurement by applying the use of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) or drone. This study was conducted with the aim of obtaining volume for some stockpile in Quarry Ulu Tiram, Mount Austin, Johor Bahru. In addition, this study produced a stockpile map to show the value of volume measured according to the stockpile position. The study started with the image collection of the study area using DJI Phantom 4 UAV. Then ground control point (GCP) in the study area was measured around the stockpile using Unistrong RTK Receiver G970. For UAV data processing, GCP was used and processing was performed using Pix4D Mapper software. The results of processing UAV images include digital elevation model (DEM), orthophoto and contour line. Also, volume of stockpile was successfully calculated using the Pix4D software. Besides, the quality assessment was done for GCP coordinates through the differences of coordinates extracted from Global Mapper software with the measured coordinates and the standard deviation was obtained. For volume validation, the experimental of modelling also done. In conclusion, UAV technology has great potential to be used for mapping quarry project and accurate volume of stockpile can be obtained to fahmimoksen UTM 84 p.
