The main purpose of this study is to identify that the rapid prototype methodology applicability to represent a real structure of buildings. This method utilises the construction of experimental model by using Polyfoam as main material with application of several layers of skim coat and non-acrylic paint. Then, this composite material that was forming a homogenous building was analysed by using finite element analysis and several comparisons have been made in order to identify the suitability of this models. Two verifications have been made in order to confirm the suitability and reliability on this study. The first verification was the comparison of natural frequency between experimental and computer model. The another was the comparison of natural frequency between small-scaled polyfoam and full-scale concrete computer model. In overall, the computed results show a positive agreement with the actual results. The percentage of differences of the verification is slightly high but it can be reduced with few adjustments of its constituent materials This makes the proposed alternative method as simple and cost-effective method yet provides favourable characterisation outcomes fahmimoksen UTM 84 p.
