The main problems in using DES, refers to some weak points in its key management system that could be used to run brute force, linear, and other cryptanalysis. Based on the found problems, this research focuses on some techniques and algorithm which attempt to enhance key management system of DES. The mentioned goals were achieved where substitution box, round constants and XOR operation were added in the common process of key management of DES. The result of the conducted research shows higher resistance against brute force and linear attack in DES implementation that used our proposed key management system instead of common method of key management in DES. The proposed system also cancel the weak-keys properties of the DES. sof UTM 157 p.
