Remote sensing applications are used intensively to obtain required forest resource information. Terrestrial Laser Scanning (TLS) is one of the most promising remote sensing techniques, which can be used to estimate tree attributes at all levels, from single trees to global applications. The main objectives of this research were to generate point cloud of single tree using TLS, extraction of the estimated tree parameters and also to validate the estimated tree parameters using the conventional method of tree measurement. The diameter at breast height (DBH) of the tree was measured, tree height, crown base height and average crown spread of the tree were also estimated. The DBH was estimated from the point clouds based on cylinder fitting model using the Cyclone software. Tree height and crown base height were measured using measurement tools in Cyclone software from the tree point clouds data. The Root Mean Squared Error (RMSE) of the estimated tree height was 1.89m and just 0.062m for the DBH. This shows that DBH estimation produces accurate results which because of its significant estimation results zulaihi UTM 92 p.
