Nowadays, most of the contractors in Malaysia not really care about the quality aspect in building construction. A lot of complaints related to building quality were received from purchaser. The main reason for all these problems is lack of a standard assessment system to assess the quality of building at completion. A study was conducted to determine the level of quality of construction work in the district of Johor Bahru. The study is limited to building construction and completed within the pass three years. Structural works are the main area investigated for the study. Data of 21 sets of questionnaires were collected and analyzed using average index. The main focus of the questionnaire was to gather information from representatives of developer about the level of quality of building construction. It is to get the opinion and understanding from the experienced respondents regarding the factors that affect construction quality. From the average index analysis, the factors that affect the quality of structure are highlighted in sequence. It is found that the main area related to the quality of construction work is concrete quality. The result of study has shown that the quality level of construction work in Johor Bahru is above moderate level. From the study, CONQUAS and QLASSIC are identified the two methods commonly used to assess quality of building construction zulaihi UTM 95 p.
