However, communication barriers exist when there are various cultural groups. As a result, effective communication at workplace can not be established. The study was conducted based on the number of foreign workers in Malaysia is increasing in various sectors of employment. The data collection instrument was a quantitative that consisted of a survey questionnaire. Data were collected from the 25 Malaysian employer workers which consist of managerial staff at the level. Within this context, the purpose of this paper is to investigate sources of barrier in communication at the workplace among managerial and foreign workers. Other than that, this research also would like to identify the main cause of communication barrier. The objective is also to identify the perception shown by the superior and low level managerial on foreign workers. The result of the study shows that several barrier influences the communication such as language, perception/prejudice, differences of interpretation and conflict. The study identifies that language is one of the greatest challenges faced by managerial. This survey also found that the low level managerial facing more problem when interacts with foreign workers compared with senior management fahmimoksen UTM 99 p.
