Hani, supervisor Electrical engineering Also available in printed version Technology is very advanced nowadays which cause a lot of crimes happen onto the security system to get the money or some others benefits for themselves. So, biometric system is very useful and important since it cannot simply hack by others like the entering the password. Biometric system is very popular in nowadays. This is because biometric system is authenticated by either behavioral features or physical characteristic or both from an account?s holder. This technique is much more accurate to verify the account?s holder rather than entered the password. So, it is very important and useful to implement a biometric capturing device in an embedded system. The system that implemented in this project can be used to capture face and finger print as well. Those are special characteristic that can get from the humans. In this project, the capturing device will be implemented to FPGA Altera Cyclone II DE2 board. SDRAM will be used as the storage for the Nios II processor in an embedded system and on-chip memory will be created as the image buffer to collect the data of every pixel for the image atiff UTM 81 p.
