BCI provides a communication channel between the brain and the computer to help severely disabled individuals to meet the daily communication and social interaction needs. The aim of this project is to develop parallel processing for two dimensional cursor movements in a real-time mode. It is basically a development from previous final year project that had been done in cursor movement using brain signal but in different purpose. To develop the cursor movements, Linux is used as the operating system, the coding is developed using C language, and X Window System is used to display the experimental interface. Electroencephalography (EEG) electrodes were attached to subject’s scalp and it was connected to the bioamplifier to amplify brain signal. Then, it was connected to DAQ card to change from analog signal to digital signal. There were two conditions in order to move the cursor. First condition was task condition where the subject was in a relax mode, and second condition was control condition where the subject was asked to focus on the target on the display and imagining he moved the cursor to the target. Three trials were done to 10 subjects and they were asked to move the cursor onto four targets; Northeast (NE), Southeast (SE), Northwest (NW), and Southwest (SW). The targets were successfully being hit by the cursor in a real-time mode snhas UTM 83 p.
