Automated wheelchairs are the one that very popular among them. This type of wheelchair is very useful to the elderly and disabled people. This project is done by utilizing Arduino UNO as a microcontroller where it will receive the signal to be processed. It will control the movement of the wheelchair based on the signal received. Besides that, it involves the interfacing of distance Infrared (IR) sensor in order to make the wheelchair to detect any obstacle around and reach the target point. IR sensor is an electronic device that emits or detects infrared radiation in order to sense some aspect of its surroundings. Therefore when the sensor detects any obstacles, it will react by avoiding it. This project involves interfacing of Motor driver and microcontroller. The motor driver used in this project is MD30B which can support up to 30 Volt of motor supply voltage. This motor driver is used to control the movement of the wheelchair motor weather counter clockwise or clockwise. Hopefully this project will very useful to those who really need it zulaihi UTM 69 p.
