Also in the Technical and Vocational Education (TVE) sector the use of technology is increasingly widespread and growing worldwide. There are various types of technology have been integrated into this sector in order to maximize the understanding of students in perceiving knowledge presented by the teacher. Along with these advances, the use of Augmented Reality (AR) have the potential to be applied in education field where it is increasingly well-known because of the greatness that can synchronize real and virtual worlds at the same time. By using this technology, an application to know the basics of weaving welding technique was developed to be used as a teaching aids (ABM) for teachers that teaching subjects Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) in vocational colleges. In this application, the user can recognize the basics of weaving techniques that cannot be seen clearly in practical works at workshops. This ABM application will identify the type of welding weave technique based on the flash card targeted at the smartphone camera. 3D objects with animations will be displayed after the smartphone camera scans the provided flash card. zulaihi UTM 101 p.
