Ahyani, supervisor Education Also available in printed version Graduates today are going through hardship in ensuring a stable career scope after graduating. An excellent academic performance alone does not secure an employment as employers today focus more on having employee which have great personality and skills which enable them to become a creative, competitive and productive member of the company. This study is meant to figure out different personality characters of the graduates and different technical skills which are needed for them to be able to fit into the demand of today抯 profession market and their marketability after a year of graduating. Through this study, graduates are encouraged to pay more attention on their internal and external personality and at the same time getting to know what values are expected from employees today. We implement qualitative methods in our study by carrying out interviews followed by thematic analysis to extract out data from the acquired information. The interview protocol was first discussed and approved before proceeding to respective interview session. The study sample consists of five respondents which was graduates who are now employed. Findings of the study shows the most favored personality which are needed by graduates includes internal personality like the behavioral etiquette and social skills while external personality mostly covered by the physical appearance of the graduates. Both of these personalities play an important role in preparing future graduates to face reality challenge in the future. In addition to that, these graduates are required to master other qualities like technical skills and soft skills which are far more important for the demands of the profession markets today. Therefore, graduates today have to strive hard in order to posses such excellent skills. Through this study, we are also able to find out the marketability of these graduates after a year of graduating. We hope this study will help future graduates to improve and progress themselves to fit into the real profession challenge. zulaihi UTM 91 p.
