This is due to the occurrence of microscopic damage to muscle tissue due to repetition of activity beyond the level of muscle capacity. Additional dietary supplements for DOMS such as milk and dates are said to accelerate the recovery process of DOMS but no further studies have seen the effectiveness of combining these two elements in the recovery process. Therefore, this study was conducted to identify the effectiveness of dates milk (Phonex Dactylifera with cow抯 milk) on the recovery of DOMS. 12 male subjects with mean age 21.42 � 0.51 years, weight 65.00 � 10.62 kilograms, height 1.68 � 3.55 meters and body mass index 22.92 � 3.56 kg cm-2 were involved in this study. They are randomly divided into experimental groups namely date milk group (SK) and control group (K). All subjects are required to perform the DOMS protocol which is 4 sets of Unilateral Eccentric Biceps Curl (10 times repetition per set) with a load of 80% from 1RM. Only SK groups were given 200ml of dates milk immediately after the DOMS protocol. EMG protocol were measures student Biopac Student Lesson 3-EMG and the Range of Motion (ROM) protocol were taken using a goniometer after the DOMS protocol. These measurements were also taken at 24, 48 and 72 hours after the DOMS protocol. Comparison between SK and K groups were analyzed descriptively (mean � standard deviation) and inferentially (T-test) using Microsoft Excel version 13.0. The results showed that there were significant differences between the two groups after 24, 48 and 72 hours with p <0.05. This shows that dates milk had effect and helps the recovery process of DOMS within the first 24 hours.
