This cluster economic concept given the advantages through the „collective efficiency mechanism that generated from the effect of external economic and joint action. However at present, there are no studies that had assessed the impression implementation of this cluster economic development approach. This study was aimed to clarify the effects and benefits of Cluster Company of layer cake?s enterprises in Bandaraya Kuching. Study inquired about 40 layer cake?s entrepreneurs in Bandaraya Kuching to identify the characteristic of entrepreneurs, background of company, the value chain existence between the supplier and the entrepreneurs and the entrepreneur?s view on Layer Cake?s business in Bandaraya Kuching. The analysis showed the effect of collective efficiency in the cluster enterprises. It had been proven the existing relationship between Suppliers to entrepreneurs that specialized with lower price offers. Overall respondents (100 percent) were agree that the cluster layer cake?s enterprises in Kuching had brought benefits to them especially as easily interact with each other, easy to get raw materials, easy to get customer services, easy to work, get the attraction of customers and the continued promotion of joint products. Respondents also agreed that this clustering enterprises are capable creates a situation easily get industrial equipment (90 percent), can learn new techniques within entrepreneurs (90 percent) and easy repair of machinery and equipments (85 percent). Effect of joint action of this clustering concept can be seen that there is a special association that brings together entrepreneurs that known as Persatuan Pengusaha Kek Lapis Sarawak (PPKLS). However, some negative effects had been identified in this enterprises and it should be noted which were giving the negative perspective towards the customers (45 per cent), there were a gap between the advanced entrepreneurs and less developed (35 percent), there was unhealthy competition relationships (37.5 per cent ) and offered different prices (12.5 percent). The proposals in this enterprise had been formed to cover aspects of the gap between developed and less developed businesses, encourage cooperation between entrepreneurs and monitor the quality and price of the product zulaihi UTM 96 p.
