Sensitivity of this device has been improved by placing photodetector at 45o, 90o, 180o, 270o, and 315o angle from the light source. In this work, Light Emitting Diode (LED) with wavelength ranging from 275 nm to 310 nm is used as a light source. Transmitted and scattered lights that interact with human urine sample containing microalbumin have been successfully collected by the photodetectors. It is observed that the transmittance of human urine sample containing 10 mg/L and 150 mg/L concentration of microalbumin follows the Beer-Lambert law. An optimal configuration of photodetector will contribute to an economical and highly sensitive portable spectrophotometer for microalbumin detection atiff UTM 77 p.
